compiler is applicable to

applications for the ARM ® processor. It can be found
at www.gnuarm.com.
MIPS
® GNU Compiler Tool chainThis
compiler is applicable to
embedded
applications for the MIPS ® processor. Originally,
this
version of the GCC compiler was created by a now defunct
company
called Algorithmics, Ltd. Dominic Sweetman, the author of the
popular book "See
MIPS Run" contributed, with the title of Managing
Director. In July, 2002, Algorithmics Ltd. was
acquired by
MIPS Technologies, Inc. This version of GCC can be found at www.mips.com under the
"SDE Lite" moniker. You must register to download it.
Watcom
CompilerThe
Watcom C/C++ compiler can be used for PC based systems. This compiler has a
long history which goes back to a FORTRAN compiler written in 1965. A
version of the C/C++ Watcom compiler can be downloaded from www.openwatcom.org.
Cygwin
EnvironmentCygwin
is a Linux ® like environment for Microsoft Windows
®.
Bash, Emacs, GCC, and other popular software developer tools
are available. It can be found at www.cygwin.com.
Eclipse
™ Integrated Development Environment The
Eclipse
IDE is a developer tool that has been called the "New Emacs." It is
available for a variety of
operating systems. The CDT plugin allows C++ development with the GCC
compiler. Eclipse can be found at www.eclipse.org.
